Carter Efe demands ₦50million prize after victory over Portable

Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has publicly demanded the payment of his ₦50 million prize following his win over street-hop artist Portable in a celebrity boxing match held in Lagos.

The bout took place at Chaos in the Ring 4 on May 1, 2026, drawing attention within Nigeria’s entertainment space as fans followed the unusual face off between both personalities. Carter Efe emerged victorious by unanimous decision after the match, securing what was announced as the top prize for the event.

Shortly after the fight, however, Carter expressed frustration over what he described as a delay in receiving his winnings. In a video recorded after the match, he was seen holding his championship belt while speaking candidly about the situation.

“Dem never give me my money o ₦50 million. I never see am o. I nearly d!£ for that stage… make dem give me my ₦50 mill!on make body s₩eet me,” he said.

He stressed that the fight was physically demanding and required significant effort, adding that he expects organizers to honor their financial commitment without further delay.

According to him, stepping into the ring was not a casual undertaking, and the risk involved should be matched with proper compensation.

Carter also directed his appeal toward key figures associated with the event, including businessman E-Money, urging that the issue be addressed as soon as possible.

The match itself saw Carter Efe take control across the rounds, outperforming Portable in what many described as a surprising outcome given the latter’s energetic persona. The encounter added another chapter to the growing trend of entertainment figures stepping into boxing as a form of spectacle.

As it stands, there has been no official response from the organizers regarding the payment concerns raised by Carter Efe. The situation remains unresolved, with observers waiting to see how the matter will be handled and whether the promised prize money will be delivered.
