Made Men Music Group record label boss and artiste manager, Ubi Franklin has revealed why he bans his female signees from getting pregnant while still under his management
He revealed this while speaking on the Culture Sonic podcast.
He said it’s always difficult for a female singer to bounce back after childbirth, and strongly advised, that such a person needs to build a strong career first, before having children.
He said; “So just imagine that you’re investing in female artiste and she gets pregnant, that is over because it would take a lot for her to come back. Mention new female artistes that got pregnant and came back.
“I’m not saying they can’t have children, but first build a strong career. If I am signing a female artiste, I always put it in the contract that they will not get pregnant for the duration of the contract.”
