Offset is dealing with more than just recovery after being shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida he’s also facing a $100K legal headache from a Detroit casino.
The MotorCity Casino Hotel says Offset opened a $100,000 credit line back in March 2024 to keep the gambling going, but now the casino claims he hasn’t paid up. They tried to pull the money directly from his account, which was part of the original agreement, but reportedly there weren’t enough funds.
The casino is now suing Offset for breach of contract, fraud, and more. A rep for the rapper told TMZ, “We are working toward a resolution.”
This lawsuit comes just days before Offset was shot in the leg outside the Seminole Hard Rock in Florida after a fight involving him and Lil Tjay’s crews. Fortunately, his injuries were non-life-threatening, and Lil Tjay was released from jail the next day after being booked for disorderly conduct.
Financial troubles haven’t been new for Offset. He also recently had to pay the IRS over $1.5 million in federal taxes after they hit him with a lien. Clearly, casinos and creditors aren’t giving him a break anytime soon.
