Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is set to miss around two months after picking up a knee injury during Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League clash with Manchester City
The 23-year-old began the game but was forced off at halftime, with Bukayo Saka coming on in his place after he struggled with discomfort.
Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the issue afterward, saying: “He had an issue very early in the match and he wasn’t well enough to continue.”
According to The Athletic, scans carried out on Monday ruled out anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) damage, but Madueke is still expected to sit out a lengthy run of games, including the next England international break.
His absence deepens Arsenal’s injury concerns in attack. Kai Havertz is still recovering from knee surgery, Gabriel Jesus remains out long-term with an ACL injury, and captain Martin Odegaard is managing a shoulder problem — leaving summer signing Viktor Gyökeres as the only natural striker available.
