Oladips finally apologises to Reminisce

After years of public fallout, diss tracks and unresolved tension, Nigerian rapper Oladips has finally tendered a heartfelt apology to his former label boss, Reminisce, bringing a long-running industry feud to a possible close

The rapper made the apology in a recently released single, Iba Paris 26, where he openly admitted his mistakes and expressed regret over how their relationship ended.

According to Oladips, he had made several attempts to reach out privately to Reminisce over the years but was unsuccessful, forcing him to use music to seek reconciliation.

“I tried to make contact severally but it didn’t work. This is me saying it openly,” Oladips said in the track.

Oladips was signed to LRR/EDGE Records, the record label owned by Reminisce, early in his career. The partnership initially showed promise, but things quickly went sour.

In 2019, Oladips publicly accused the label of neglect and financial hardship, claiming that despite having popular songs, he struggled to survive while under the contract. He alleged that attempts to exit the label were met with resistance, sparking tension between both parties.
