Singer, Seun Kuti has debunked the rumours surrounding his early departure from the wedding of content creators Peller and Jarvis
Following the ceremony over the weekend, Seun Kuti was spotted leaving the hall, prompting speculation that he walked out after the master of ceremonies allegedly claimed that Wizkid was bigger than his late father, Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
Seun was caught saying was in the wrong place, further fueling the rumours.
However, while speaking alongside Fuji singer Malaika, Seun dismissed the claims, explaining that he simply left the wedding because he wanted to head to the New Afrika Shrine and not because he was offended by any remarks made during the event.
He said:
“I left the wedding to go to the Shrine, and these bloggers twisted things, saying I was angry. Maybe I should have danced out of the ceremony.”
