Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has addressed the controversy sparked by a leaked audio that allegedly linked her to Apostle Chikere Nwafor
The audio, which circulated widely on social media, reportedly featured a conversation between Apostle Psalm Okpe and a pastor identified as Martins, also known as Martin Ugbulu.
Unverified claims were made about Apostle Chikere, with Anunobi’s name mentioned, drawing attention from both entertainment and religious communities.
The recording also referenced a woman allegedly involved in inappropriate behavior during a supposed private matter, though no evidence was provided to support these claims. Following public backlash, Apostle Psalm Okpe issued an apology, acknowledging that the statements in the audio were based on hearsay and should not have been discussed.
Speaking in a live video session, Eucharia Anunobi dismissed the allegations, calling them a deliberate attempt to damage her reputation.
“They wanted to rubbish my name, but God came through. There was a plan to stain my image, but it failed,” she said. “Every mouth that has spoken evil against you, God will silence them forever.”
Anunobi also urged bloggers and online commentators to avoid spreading unverified and harmful content, warning that such actions could have serious consequences for those involved.
