Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Iyabo Ojo has revealed that her latest movie, The Return of Arinzo, has become the highest-grossing film at the Nigerian box office over the Easter weekend
In a post on X on Monday, Ojo shared that the film raked in N104.8 million during its opening weekend, setting multiple records in the process.
“Thank you, everyone, for the love you showed us. TROA opens with N104.8m, breaking multiple records in just one weekend. Highest grossing Easter weekend performance, biggest opening for a Nollywood sequel. This was only possible because of you,” she wrote.
FilmOne Entertainment, the movie’s distributor, also celebrated the achievement on Instagram, describing the debut as a powerful statement at the box office.
“₦104.8M in its opening weekend, biggest Easter opening, and the highest-grossing film of the weekend,” the distributor noted.
