Wizkid has never liked me — Skales

Skales has made some shocking revelations about his relationship with fellow musician Wizkid.

In an episode of the ‘Listen’ podcast, Skales claimed that Wizkid has never liked him, and that he has always felt a repelling energy from the ‘Starboy’.

Skales recounted their social media fallout from years ago, which started when he jokingly said that Wizkid didn’t have his time anymore.

Wizkid responded with insults, targeting Skales, his father, and his mother. Skales’ ex-girlfriend replied to Wizkid’s comments, but Skales himself chose not to engage.

Skales stated that he picks his battles carefully and didn’t want to respond to Wizkid’s insults because he knew that people would assume he was jealous of Wizkid’s success.

Instead, Skales sat back and observed, eventually concluding that Wizkid genuinely dislikes him.

Despite his efforts to make peace with Wizkid, Skales claims that the ‘Starboy’ was adamant and refused to reconcile.

“If you go back and check the our social media fallout, I think I was doing a ‘question-and-answer’ session on Twitter and somebody said, ‘What’s up with your guy Wiz?’ And jokingly, I said, ‘My brother Wiz does not have my time anymore.’ From there, Wizkid started insulting me, my father and my mother. That’s to show you that he probably had me in mind. He said I wear fake jewellery. That time, I wasn’t the one replying, it was my ex-girlfriend.

“I pick my battles. When I know that people will believe anything you say, I don’t need to fight you. Because whatever I say, they are going to say I am jealous. They are going to say I am envious of Wizkid’s success. And that was the story that was going round. I sat down recently and said, ‘This guy [Wizkid] really don’t like me.’ I have tried to make peace with him but he was adamant. He didn’t like me, I can tell you for a fact.”
