Veteran Actor Dele Odule set to launch film village

Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule is gearing up to officially open his long-awaited film village located in Ijebu Oru. The project is being described as a major step in his long-standing contribution to the Nigerian movie industry, especially within Yoruba cinema.

Before the official unveiling, he welcomed his colleague and mentee, Muyiwa Ademola, for a private tour of the facility. During the visit, Muyiwa was taken through different sections of the expansive space, getting a first-hand look at what is expected to become a major creative center for filmmakers and content creators.

A video clip which shows Muyiwa arriving at the site and reacting with clear admiration as Dele Odule personally guided him around the property. The atmosphere in the clip reflected excitement and pride as the younger actor explored the scale of the development.

After the tour, Muyiwa expressed his enthusiasm and respect for the project, praising his mentor’s vision. He wrote:

“What an amazing project! Went visiting my Mentor’s facility in Ijebu Oru! What an awesome effort from one of our living legends himself. Though it hasn’t been officially unveiled yet, I just have to let you get a feel for what to expect. It is such a beautiful, creative base… Prepare to go with us on this journey. Congratulations once again, boss,” he wrote.

While full details of the film village are still under wraps, it is believed to feature multiple creative spaces designed for film production, storytelling, and artistic development.

The project reflects a growing movement among Nollywood veterans who are investing in infrastructure to support the future of the industry.

With initiatives like this, Dele Odule’s film village is expected to join other similar efforts in the Yoruba film sector aimed at strengthening production capacity and building sustainable creative ecosystems in Nigeria.
