“Unlike Ibadan, Lagos pushes you to hustle” — Kamo state opens up

Comedian Kamo State has shared his personal experience of living between Ibadan and Lagos, offering a candid comparison of both cities from the perspective of a content creator.

According to him, his connection with Lagos is relatively recent, even though he had long been familiar with the city due to frequent visits for creative work.

“l barely got to Lagos state 2yrs ago, l have lived all my life In ibadan.
Thou when l was in ibadan l usually come to Lagos state almost every week for contents and skits videos with my colleagues.

Lagos state is quite different from Ibadan, ibadan feels more like home to me but Lagos state is an hustler state, there’s something always Gingering to work harder, the spirit to work is always impacted on you In Lagos state”.

He explained that while Ibadan remains deeply personal and familiar, Lagos carries a different energy entirely one that constantly pushes people toward productivity and ambition.

For him, Ibadan represents comfort and a sense of belonging, while Lagos embodies pressure, drive, and the relentless pace of a city built on daily hustle.
