“Tiwa’s Vibe” Banned On Local Channels; Singer Reacts

Mavin Records singer Tiwa Savage may have gotten a little too much of what she bargained for as her song gets screened out for play on local channels.

The 38-year-old may have waken up to some disappointing news as her song ‘Tiwa’s Vibe’ gets banned on all local channels. The reason for the ban is that Tiwa Savage mentioned alcohol in the song in the local parlance ‘shayo’.

On ‘Tiwa’s Vibe’ there is a lot of mention of liquor on the track. An excerpt of the lyrics goes thus:

Hennessy for my cup
Henne’ dey for body oh
Shayo gallore, see, oju ti leri oh, yeh yeh
All of girl, them bad, we go kill somebody oh, eh eh
Say the ginger go kill somebody oh

Tiwa was shocked because to the best of her knowledge alcohol is not a contraband substance. She wrote ‘But alcohol is legal right?’
