Taylor Swift mum is diagnosed with brain tumour while also battling cancer

Taylor Swift has revealed her mother Andrea has been diagnosed with a brain tumour, as she is already battling cancer for the second time.

The singer, who is headlining Glastonbury next year, found out the terrifying news while filming for her upcoming Netflix documentary.

Andrea was undergoing chemotherapy, when doctors discovered she also had the tumour.

She was going through chemo, and that’s a hard enough thing for a person to go through,” said Taylor.

“While she was going through treatment, they found a brain tumour.

“And the symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumour is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before.”

The Shake It Off singer added: “The symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumour is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before.

‘So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family.”

Taylor also opened up about her relationship with her mother, who she says is the “driving force” behind everything she does.
