Speed Darlington says relocating abroad is not for people in their 50s

Speed Darlington doesn’t think relocating abroad is something people should be planning once they’re in their 50s.

In his view, that’s a stage of life when starting over in another country may no longer be worth it, especially with the time it takes to build a new life and career.

Speaking in a video, he said:

“Nigerians in their 50s have no business saying they’re relocating abroad. What are you going there to do? By the time you start seeing the rewards of your hustle, it is too late. Relocating abroad is mostly for young people in their 20s.”

He believes relocating makes more sense for people in their 20s because they have enough time to settle in, work, grow and eventually enjoy the rewards of their efforts. For him, making that move much later in life simply doesn’t have the same appeal.
