Shallipopi shared his perspective on how artists should determine their performance fees.
In an interview with News Central TV, he stated that an artist’s value is tied to the success and reach of their music.
Shallipopi emphasized that artists should charge based on their music’s impact, suggesting that those with similar streaming numbers to American artists should charge comparable fees.
He said:
“It depends on your music and where it has gotten, that is what your price is going to be.
“If your music has gotten the same stream as an American artiste, you should be charging the same way they charge but if it’s not up to that you cannot overcharge.”
