Comedian Seyi Law, has claimed that Nigerian governors can go as far as organizing the execution of the President if state police is created.
There have been mixed reactions over the call for the creation of state police in Nigeria.
While reacting to reports that the 33 Local Government Chairmen in Oyo State have jointly decided to break away from the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Seyi Law insinuated that Nigerian governors abuse power and would also abuse state police if created.
On his X handle on Sunday, he wrote: “Imagine State Police in the hands of some Governors. They will personally organise the execution of the President.”
Seyi Law was recently appointed as Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Entertainment & Tourism to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.
