Sandra Okunzuwa reveals why a movie kissing scene ended her relationship

Nollywood star Sandra Okunzuwa has shared how acting romantic scenes on movie sets once took a toll on her love life, forcing her to end a relationship.

The actress made the revelation while speaking on the BTS Reality Show, where she addressed the misconceptions people often have about intimate scenes in movies.

According to her, many assume actors enjoy such moments, but the reality on set is completely different because of the crowd and production atmosphere surrounding the scene.

“If you have twenty people watching you while kissing in the movie, it is impossible to enjoy it,” she stated.

Okunzuwa explained that with cameras rolling and crew members everywhere, actors are usually focused on delivering the scene professionally rather than any emotional connection.
“It is impossible to get in the mood,” she added.

The actress further stated that she would support removing kissing scenes from films if audiences could still appreciate movies without them. She noted that beyond the pressure of acting, such scenes can also create serious problems in personal relationships.

Recalling one of her experiences, Okunzuwa said a former boyfriend became upset after watching a video clip of her kissing another actor on screen. The situation eventually affected the relationship deeply.

“These things affect our personal relationships. For instance, I had to leave a relationship because of this,” she revealed.

Speaking on relationships involving actresses, she admitted that dating within the entertainment industry is not always easy and said she understands why some people avoid it entirely.

“It is hard; it is not easy. I do not blame people who say they cannot date actresses because it is not everyone who can take certain things,” she said.
