Al-Nassr were crowned Saudi Pro League champions on Thursday after a dominant 4-1 victory over Damac secured the title on the final day of the season
The triumph marks Cristiano Ronaldo’s first major trophy since joining the Saudi club in 2023.
Playing at King Saud University Stadium, Al-Nassr took control of the match early through goals from Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman before Ronaldo added two more to seal the emphatic win.
Damac briefly reduced the deficit through Morlaye Sylla, but Ronaldo responded with a brilliant free-kick from a difficult angle before later grabbing another close-range finish to confirm the title celebrations.
The league victory also ends Al-Nassr’s wait for a domestic title since 2019.
The achievement comes just days after the club suffered heartbreak in their previous match against rivals Al-Hilal, where a dramatic 98th-minute own goal by goalkeeper Bento forced a 1-1 draw and delayed their title hopes.
Following Thursday’s victory, Ronaldo was seen emotional after the final whistle, with cameras capturing the Portuguese superstar in tears on the bench as Al-Nassr finally clinched the championship.
