Rema has addressed rumors surrounding his use of bat imagery and dark representations on the “Kids Take Over” podcast.
Rema acknowledged the accusations of being a “devil worshiper” as the most outrageous rumor, stating, “It’s crazy… I didn’t respond because it’s not important. It’s a waste of time.”
He clarified that the symbols in his art are rooted in Edo culture, emphasizing their cultural significance rather than any connection to the occult.
Rema stressed that his creative expression reflects his heritage and artistic vision.
“I incorporate symbols from my Edo culture… it’s about my roots, not devil worship,” Rema explained.
Additionally, Rema discussed his 2020 collaboration with Drake on the track “Mention Me,” providing insights into their creative process.
