Veteran Nollywood star Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has disclosed that she could have easily become a billionaire if she had been willing to compromise her personal values during her career
Speaking as a guest on The Afropolitan Show, the award-winning actress reflected on the decisions that have shaped her decades-long journey in the entertainment industry.
Omotola revealed that she turned down numerous lucrative opportunities that conflicted with her principles, despite the potential to dramatically boost her wealth.
“Many of the offers promised huge financial rewards, but accepting them would have required me to betray my beliefs,” she said. “If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known, and I could have taken things and compromised my stands, but I said no, and I walked away.”
She added that such situations occurred multiple times throughout her career, yet she remained steadfast, even as the people who extended those offers continue to follow her work today.
Omotola emphasized that staying true to her values has brought her a sense of fulfillment far beyond what money could provide.
