Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli is applauding the filmmakers who continue to bring stories to life, even in the face of economic challenges.
On her Instagram page, Omoni shared a heartfelt message for those working tirelessly behind the scenes. She recognized the long nights, the tight budgets, and the risks that often go unseen.
“To every filmmaker still creating in Nollywood right now, take a bow. The sleepless nights, the budgets that don’t stretch, the risks no one talks about, the faith it takes to keep going,” she wrote.
She reminded everyone that the platform doesn’t matter whether it’s cinema, streaming, or YouTube, every effort counts. “Cinema, streaming, YouTube, wherever your film lives, it counts. It matters,” she said.
Omoni also highlighted the heart and resilience that keep Nollywood alive.
“We are building, pushing, stretching, and still choosing to create. Because it takes more than talent, it takes resilience, belief, and heart. And that is what Nollywood is built on,” she added.
Her message was clear: despite the challenges, filmmakers are doing something powerful.
“Different platforms, same passion. Different paths, same purpose. I see you. I celebrate you,” Omoni concluded.
