Nigeria’s D’Tigress beat Mali to win 5th AfroBasket Women title

Nigeria’s D’Tigress have reaffirmed their supremacy in African women’s basketball after beating Mali to win a fifth straight FIBA Women’s AfroBasket championship

With a decisive 78-64 win over Mali in the final on Sunday, the Nigerian side became the first country on the continent to win the championship five times in a row.

The win also extended Nigeria’s remarkable unbeaten streak in the competition to 29 consecutive games, a flawless run that began in 2015.
