Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of beginning a new chapter in Turkey after Napoli and Fenerbahce reached an agreement for the Belgian striker’s transfer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio
Fenerbahce will pay an initial €6 million for the 33-year-old, with additional bonuses tied to his performances. Lukaku has also settled personal terms with the Istanbul-based club.
As part of the agreement, the Belgian international is expected to receive a lucrative contract worth around €10 million per season.
The move has progressed rapidly after negotiations between Napoli and Fenerbahce produced a breakthrough. Di Marzio confirmed on Tuesday that the two clubs had reached a full agreement.
Lukaku has already completed and passed his medical examinations with Fenerbahce, leaving the transfer at an advanced stage.
The clubs are now exchanging the required transfer documents, with the remaining administrative procedures expected to pave the way for the deal to be formally concluded.
