I’m older than Mercy Aigbe – Iyabo Ojo

Nollywood stars Iyabo Ojo and Mercy Aigbe recently gave fans something fun to talk about after a playful exchange about their ages during a casual interview

In the light-hearted moment, Iyabo jokingly insisted that she is slightly older than Mercy, stressing the difference with a smile.

“She’s my younger sister, but she never likes to admit it. I’m older than her by 10 days,” she said with a laugh, adding a fun twist to their long-standing friendship.

She even teased Mercy further, joking that she deserves a bit more respect and should affectionately call her “Aunty.”

Beyond the playful banter, Iyabo also reflected on how their friendship began. She recalled meeting Mercy early in her acting career and being the first to approach her.

“I met Mercy when she had just started acting. People would tell me there was someone who acted like me. The day I finally met her one-on-one, I approached her first, and since then, we’ve remained friends,” she recounted.v
