Davido has said he would still pursue a career in music even if he weren’t famous, underscoring the deep passion that fuels his artistry
In an interview with ‘Okay Africa’, Davido explained that his love for music keeps him driven to create, innovate, and inspire fans around the world. He also spoke about the special bond he shares with his supporters, describing their genuine love as something money can’t buy.
“I’m grateful for the unwavering support I’ve received from fans globally,” he said. “Their love is truly priceless and one of the most valuable parts of my journey.”
Looking back on his career, Davido said he would advise his younger self to be patient and resilient.
Davido said, “I hope I still have the same passion, I’d probably try again…but it depends on my age.
“One flex I have is that money didn’t buy us natural love from my fans. You can’t buy that type of love. I’ve had fans come from far away, and concerts range from new fans to the old fans; my catalogue is huge.
“If I could tell younger Davido anything, it’d be, ‘It’s going to be a long journey, many ups and downs, smiles and frowns, but you’d get there. When we first started, obviously, the dream wasn’t this big at all. That’s how God works.
