Following the unexpected resurgence of his 2014 hit single Shake Body, artiste, Skales has publicly expressed his desire to collaborate with American R&B star Chris Brown on a remix of the track.
Taking to social media, Skales tweeted: “I want Chris Brown on Shakebody remix,” sparking excitement among fans and fueling anticipation for what could be a major cross-continental collaboration.
The renewed interest in Shake Body comes after the song was featured in Season 2, Episode 8 of the American series Step Up: High Water, and danced to by Barcelona’s Yamine Lamal, exposing the track to a wider international audience and breathing new life into the Afrobeat anthem.
Originally released as the lead single from his debut album Man of the Year, Shake Body played a pivotal role in Skales’ early career. The music video for the track was notably funded by fellow Nigerian star Olamide, at a time when Skales was facing financial challenges—a gesture the singer has repeatedly credited with changing his life.
