I thank God for restoring my relationship with Funke Akindele – Juliana Olayode

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has revealed that her renewed bond with senior colleague Funke Akindele came about through what she describes as divine intervention

Speaking during a conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress expressed deep appreciation to God for mending their once-strained relationship.

According to her, she spent years praying specifically for reconciliation after they drifted apart, placing more value on their personal connection than any professional collaboration.

“I am so grateful to God that we are besties again. All those years, I kept saying to God in my prayers, requests that He should restore our friendship. Like, I don’t care if I don’t get to work with her on her project again. I don’t even want it; what I want is to be able to go to her house freely, laugh with her, see her, and greet her. When I wrote it to God in my prayers, it wasn’t to get back with her on Jenifa Diary, it was just the relationship, because she has been there for me.

Juliana gained fame for her portrayal of Toyo Baby in the hit series Jenifa’s Diary, created by Akindele. Her departure from the show had sparked rumours of a fallout, which she later acknowledged in past interviews.
