I started feeding my family at 11 — Oluwadolarz

Skitmaker, Oluwadolarz has opened up about his challenging past on the ‘WithChude’ podcast.

He lost his father at age two and took on responsibilities beyond his age.

At 11, he became the breadwinner, worrying about his family’s basic needs.

To support his family, Oluwadolarz worked at Dangote Cement factory in Ebute Metta after his music career faced initial setbacks in 2008.

He shared:

“I loaded pasta at Dangote Cement… I didn’t enjoy my childhood; I became a man at 11.”

“I lost my dad at a very early age like when I was 2 years old. But I had a stepdad who supported us. He died in 2015.

“I did not enjoy my childhood. I became a man at the age of 11. At that age, I was contemplating what the family would eat. I started music in 2008. It did not move at all.”

Oluwadolarz also addressed 2020 r3pe allegations, stating:

“I lost jobs, faced depression, and accumulated debt… It was a difficult time, especially with the birth of my child.”

The 30-year-old comedian reflected on overcoming adversity and finding success in the entertainment industry.
