Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah has revealed he believes he can continue playing professional football until the age of 40.
The Egyptian international recently signed a contract extension with Liverpool, keeping him at the club until 2027.
Speaking in an interview with On Sports, Salah dismissed the idea that this would be his final deal in football.
“I will stop playing when I feel it’s time,” he said. “If you ask me, I think I can play until I’m 39 or 40, but if I feel earlier that I should stop, I will. I’ve achieved a lot in my career.”
Salah also acknowledged that he had considered a move to Saudi Arabia before extending his stay at Anfield.
“My contract was up at Liverpool, and I could have gone to Saudi, but we finalized the deal with Liverpool.” he said
“I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m happy here and staying for the next two years. After that, I’ll see what comes next.”
