Nigerian musician, Brymo has come out to claim that he is the one who invented ‘alternative’ genre of music in Nigeria.
Brymo who took to his Instagram to declare this and also to emphasize on what alternative really is.
According to Brymo, “In the Nigerian music scene, the ‘alternative’ was invented by me in 2013 as a cure to the ills of the mainstream, not to be a part of it. To be ‘alternative’ means that the process of recording, performing, distributing and rating your work is different from the mainstream.”’
This is quite a bold claim from the Heya singer.
