Frank Edoho addresses trending old rap video

Frank Edoho has addressed a rap video, which has resurfaced amid renewed conversations surrounding past marital controversies involving his ex-wife, Sandra.

The old clip was dug up by social media users who began attaching new meanings to it. Some users claimed the video suggested Edoho “discovered his rap talent because of Chike,”.

However, Frank Edoho has moved to clarify the situation, pushing back against the interpretation being attached to the resurfaced content.

He explained that the video in question was recorded about two years ago as part of a “Ruggedman challenge” he participated in alongside other celebrities, stressing that it was never meant to be taken as a professional musical attempt.

He also noted that his involvement in rap goes back to his university days at UNICAL, where he and a friend, Bassey, used to freestyle for fun, adding that the viral clip was purely recreational and not evidence of him being a musician.

According to him, the bars from the video should not be taken seriously or compared to actual rap artists, as it was simply entertainment content shared in good spirit.

He wrote:

“I did this Ruggedman challenge with Celebs like Macaroni, Iyabo Ojo, Ikeduba and others- TWO YEARS AGO. My Brother Bassey and I used to rap in UNICAL. We did freestyles for fun.

Those bars don’t even stack up to the ones by the least Rapper in Nigeria.

I am not a Musician.”
