South African rapper Nasty C has opened up about the support he received from Nigerian music star Davido early in his career, revealing that the Afrobeats singer recorded a verse for the remix of “Juice Back” at no cost and also funded the music video
Speaking in an interview, Nasty C recalled how Davido went out of his way to support the project when he was unable to finance the video.
“Davido gave me a free verse for the remix of ‘Juice Back.’ When I told him I couldn’t afford to shoot the music video, he simply said, ‘Don’t worry,’ and went on to pay for the entire video,” he said.
The “Juice Back” remix, which also featured South African rapper Cassper Nyovest, was released in 2015 and became one of the songs that helped propel Nasty C to a wider African audience.
