In a candid interview with Breakfast Club, celebrated singer, Davido shared his thoughts on his relationship with fellow artists WizKid and Burna Boy.
Davido revealed that he doesn’t have a personal relationship with the two musicians, stating, “I don’t have a personal relationship with Wizkid and Burna Boy.”
However, he clarified that this wasn’t always the case, explaining that he had a connection with them in the past. Davido’s perspective has shifted as the music landscape has evolved, with more talented artists emerging.
He believes the conversation should be broader than just the “big three,” highlighting the talents of artists like Rrena and Ayra Starr.
Davido emphasized that the music culture is more extensive than just himself, WizKid, and Burna Boy, suggesting that there’s a wealth of talent beyond the trio.
He noted, “The conversation is bigger than the big three. There are so many artists… I feel like there’s so much artist to make this about us. And the three of us know that it is bigger than us.”
