Boluwatife Balogun, now known as Champz and son of Nigerian superstar Wizkid, has made history as the youngest Nigerian artiste to hit 1 million monthly Spotify listeners at just 14 years old.
Champz achieved the milestone following the release of his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, which quickly became a fan favorite. The five-track project, blending rap, afro-swing, and Afrobeats, showcases his impressive talent and creativity.
Within hours of release, the EP topped the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart, making him the youngest Nigerian artist to reach that position.
While some reports highlighted the Spotify milestone, what is undeniable is the remarkable impact of Champz’s debut project. His streams continue to grow, and the young artiste is already proving that he can hold his own in the music industry, following in his father’s footsteps while carving out his own unique path.
