Fourteen years after leaving Big Brother Africa, former housemate Beverly Osu is reflecting on her journey with gratitude and nostalgia.
Sharing a special video on Instagram, Beverly took fans back to the first interview she did after the show with a magazine the same publication she recently revisited for another feature.
She credited her success to believing in herself and staying resilient. According to Beverly, she always knew she could “build a strong career in Africa,” that “life would teach her,” and that she would “survive whatever came her way.”
Reflecting on the journey, she acknowledged the role of time and effort in shaping her life: “Somehow… through grace, growth, mistakes, prayers, and persistence… we did. Not perfectly. Not exactly the way she imagined. But beautifully in our own way.”
Beverly also shared heartfelt appreciation for her younger self and the woman she has become: “To the younger me, thank you for your courage. To the woman I am today, thank you for not giving up. Growth is a quiet miracle.
Sometimes you don’t see it until you look back. Cheers to the Woman I am becoming and to every woman growing through her own journey this WOMEN’S MONTH”
She also gave a special mention to the photographer who captured her recent interview: “And thank you, Adaeze Ibechukwu, for capturing that moment so beautifully. Reading it brought back so much nostalgia. I remember every single detail of that day.”
Ending on a note of self-affirmation, Beverly wrote to her 2013 self: “Dear 2013 Beverly … We are doing Good”.
