Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Spanish defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia.
The 21-year-old joins the Premier League side on a long-term deal, with reports indicating the transfer fee is around €20 million, including performance-related add-ons. He will wear the number 3 shirt for the Gunners.
Mosquera had a standout campaign in La Liga, registering more than 6,300 minutes over two seasons—more than any other player aged 21 or under in Europe’s top five leagues. His consistent performances and defensive maturity caught the attention of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who sees him as a key addition to strengthen the backline.
Known for his versatility, Mosquera can play both as a centre-back and a right-back, providing depth and competition for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.
He has already linked up with the Arsenal squad in Singapore for their pre-season tour and is expected to integrate quickly, thanks to his Spanish roots and familiarity with several Spanish-speaking players at the club.
