Yoruba actress and filmmaker Fathia Balogun, popularly known as Fathia Williams, has slammed a blogger for manufacturing fake drama over her birthday exchange with fellow actress Funke Akindele.
Fathia celebrated her birthday on February 5 with ex-husband Saidi Balogun, receiving numerous goodwill messages, including one from Funke.
A blogger, however, twisted the interaction, suggesting an awkward vibe and a possible rift.
During a live video, Fathia dismissed the claims, insisting there’s “no bad blood” between her and Funke. She criticised bloggers for deliberately spreading false narratives and drama.
She clarified that Funke’s birthday greeting was warm and proper, and her reply, “Ose Iya Ibeji” (“thank you, mother of twins”), was misunderstood, stressing:
“there was absolutely no tension between us.”
Fathia warned:
“Stop constantly manufacturing conflict where none exists,” describing bloggers as overly intrusive in celebrities’ lives.
The clarification recalls a 2024 misunderstanding when Funke reportedly unfollowed and blocked Fathia over unreciprocated event appearances the pair reconciled in December 2025.
Fathia Balogun insists the drama is fake, urging bloggers to stop twisting friendly exchanges proving some celebrity ‘beefs’ exist only online.
