Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has dismissed rumours suggesting he has a romantic relationship with his colleague Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan popularly known as BamBam
Speaking in an interview with BBC Igbo, the actor explained that he only met Bambam for the first time while filming the movie “Love in Every Word”.
According to him, he is always careful when acting intimate scenes, especially with colleagues who are married.
Arukwe stated that before shooting their scenes together, he asked Bambam if there were any forms of physical contact that might make her uncomfortable or create issues in her marriage.
He added that he never wants his actions on a movie set to cause problems in his colleagues’ homes.
The actor also addressed the rumours that circulated after the movie was released, noting that some people began speculating that he and Bambam were in a relationship.
Uzor described the claims as completely false, stressing that their interaction was strictly professional and limited to their roles in the film.
“Before i touched her, i asked her if there was any way i could touch her that her husband wouldn’t like or that might cause problems at home. that movie was the first time i had ever met her. but people started saying we slept together and were dating, which was completely false.”
