YouTube Music Debuts In Naija As Naira Marley Is 2019 Most Viewed Artiste

Good news for music creatives in Nigeria as YouTube Music debuts in the country. The popular video sharing & hosting platform has introduced YouTube Music to it’s Nigerian audience.

In case you’re still what’s the difference between YouTube and YouTube Music, well here is it.

YouTube Music is a new music streaming service made for music listening, on top of the magic of YouTube: making the complete world of music easier to explore and more personalized than ever. Whether you want to listen, watch or discover – all the ways music moves you can be found in one place.

Before now the service was only available in regions outside of Nigeria. Now music lovers can get ‘not just music videos, but official albums, singles, remixes, live performances, covers and hard-to-find music you can only get on YouTube.’

While YouTube Music launched in Nigeria, yesterday in Lagos, Naira Marley received an exclusive invite to the launch event.

Naira Marley was declared the most viewed artiste in Nigeria on YouTube. That means he had the most views by a Nigerian musician on YouTube way ahead of Burna Boy, Davido or Wizkid.
