“Work is almost done with the stadium expansion” —Davido on Osun project

Nigerian music star Davido has shared an update on his first major project since taking on the role of Chairman of the Osun State Sports Trust Fund, revealing significant progress in the expansion of a local stadium.

According to the singer, work on increasing the stadium’s seating capacity from 5,000 to 15,000 is almost complete, marking a major milestone in the initiative aimed at improving sports infrastructure in the state.

“Work is almost done with the extension of the stadium’s capacity from 5k to 15k seats,” Davido stated, highlighting the advancement of the project.

The development is part of broader efforts under his leadership to upgrade sporting facilities and create better opportunities for athletes and fans in Osun State.

The expansion is expected to boost local sporting activities, attract larger events, and contribute to the state’s economy.

Davido’s appointment as Chairman was met with widespread attention, and this progress report signals an active start to his tenure, with more projects anticipated in the near future.
