Wizkid and Fireboy DML were among the artistes that went home with more than one award at AFRIMA 2021. The ‘Essence’ crooner was named the Best African Artiste of the year at the event which was held last night at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Wizkid grabbed three awards on the night but the biggest winner was Malian singer, Iba One who won 4 awards including; Album of the Year, African Male Artiste in Inspirational Music, Best Song Writer, and Best Male Artiste from Western Africa. Nigerian singer, Fireboy DML also won two awards with the African Fans’ Favourite and Best Duo African Hip hop award alongside Cheque.
