Renowned Grammy Award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has officially announced the release of his long-awaited album after persistent requests from his fans.
In a recent update on his Instagram account, the “Essence” singer revealed that the album, titled “Morayo”, will be released today at 1 PM Nigerian time.
The album has been a hot topic among fans for several weeks, with Wizkid teasing its release since the start of the year. As anticipation builds, Wizkid has set clear expectations, warning fans not to expect the return of the ‘Pakurumo Wizkid’ as his music has evolved.
He has also requested not to be categorized as an Afrobeats artist, emphasizing that his artistry now extends beyond the genre.
