Davido has finally explained why he chooses to remain accessible despite being one of Africa’s biggest music stars
Speaking in a fresh interview, the Afrobeats singer said he has never believed in acting distant or trying to maintain a mysterious celebrity image, adding that his upbringing played a major role in shaping who he is today.
According to him, “I’m a different kind of person. Normally, artists are meant to package and form, but God has blessed me. What works for me might not work for others. Nigerians call it see finish, but my star will always shine.”
Davido also revealed that growing up in a large family made him naturally comfortable being around people.
“I grew up in a family with a lot of people. I’m the youngest of 5 kids. I grew up with my cousins in the house, so I’ve always had people around me,” he said.
