Why i stopped helping people in the music industry — Tope Alabi speaks on betrayal

Renowned gospel singer Tope Alabi has shared painful experiences that made her decide never to help anyone again in the music industry.

Speaking about some of the people she once accommodated and supported, the singer described how several acts of betrayal, conflict and spiritual attacks changed her perspective completely.

According to her, one particular couple nearly destroyed the career of a talented female artist because of the husband’s controlling behavior.

“I never knew these people (Husband and wife) are so dramatic. The Husband insisted it’s forbidden for a man to help his wife, that he can’t help her with either the guitar or the drums.”

She explained that the woman was already making progress musically while staying in her home and had even recorded projects there.

“This lady had started making it then, she already did 2 Albums under my roof infact it was the same person that was helping me to produce my Album then that did for her.”

Tope Alabi said the husband refused to contribute positively but still wanted to enjoy luxury while living under her roof, creating tension in her household.

“This husband became so toxic and never wanted to help but wanted to be living a big man lifestyle under our roof and even wanted to cause problems in my home, l had to beg them to leave our house then.”

She added that things eventually went downhill for the woman’s  music career after they left.
“That was how the glory of that talented lady went off.”

The gospel singer also recounted another troubling experience involving a different couple whom she claimed turned against her completely.

“The second people were also husband and wife, they ganged up against me, it was so terrible.”

Narrating a third encounter, Tope Alabi alleged that some individuals she once helped later aligned themselves with her enemies after she asked them to leave her home.

“While the third people were all out to kpai me, immediately l asked them to leave, they went straight to my enemies house and started living with my enemy and even told them my prayer point and how l used to pray against my enemies.”

She further revealed that the situation allegedly escalated into serious spiritual battles against her and her family.

“This last set wanted to kpai me if not for God behind and my family.”
“Different arrows were sh0t at me but l thank God, the lord rescued me and my family.”

Following the painful experiences, the veteran gospel musician said she made a personal decision to stop helping people within the entertainment industry.

“That was when l came to the conclusion that l will never help anyone again in this industry because most people are £vil.”
