Afrobeats artist Orezi attributes his fade from the music scene to reduced ambition and becoming too comfortable.
In a fresh interview, he emphasized the importance of consistency, citing Davido as an example of an artist who continues to work hard despite achieving superstardom.
Orezi noted that competition drives consistency and that Davido’s relentless work ethic is a key factor in his enduring success.
Orezi admitted that his own lack of drive and competitiveness led to his decline in the industry.
Orezi said:
“I faded out [of the music industry] because I became less ambitious and comfortable with where I am. I was always on vacation, enjoying myself. I became less ambitious and took myself out of the competition [in the music industry].
Competition fuels consistency. Look at Davido for example, he hustles like an underground artist. He has money and fame but he still maintains his hustling spirit.”
