Veteran filmmaker, actor and retired Theatre Arts lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Alagba Kola Oyewo, has passed away at the age of 80
He d!ed on Friday, bringing an end to a long and distinguished career in Nigerian theatre, film, and academia.
His de.ath was announced on Instagram by actor Kunle Afod, who paid tribute to the late thespian, describing his passing as the end of an era.
“Kola Oyewo has taken his final bow.
“His remarkable talent, timeless performances, and immense contributions to the Nigerian theatre and film industry will never be forgotten. His legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
“Rest well, sir. Your work lives on.
