Have you ever thought about the people around us—who we let in, who we trust, who get to sit in the inner circle of our lives?
And the more I think about it, the more I realize… there are certain people you just can’t afford to let too close.
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh made a statement that stuck with me:
“There are two sets of people you should never allow close to you, because they can rûin your life.
First: people who have nothing to løse.
Second: people who have no authority, no one to call them to order.”
The first type?
Tonto Dikeh stated that the first type or people have nothing to løse.
They act like rules don’t apply to them, like consequences are myths. When they enter your space, they don’t just test your boundaries they trample them.
You can’t reason with someone who fears nothing, because their world isn’t built on limits.
Then there’s the second type. People who have no authority, no one to call them to order.
They move like chaos incarnate, untethered, and they’ll drag you into their storm just because they can.
Remember! life is not forever guaranteed to hand over your peace to people like that. Protect your space.
Protect your mind. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is keep your circle small and let the wrong people wander into someone else’s story.
