Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has announced the launch of a new faith-based movement known as the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, NWPT.
The actress unveiled the initiative on Sunday through her Instagram page, presenting it as a spiritual gathering focused on prayer, revival and deeper Christian devotion.
Rather than describing NWPT as a conventional church, Tonto said it is an interdenominational platform created for believers seeking a stronger encounter with God and a life dedicated to His purpose.
The movement takes its inspiration from Mark 2:22: “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”
According to the statement announcing the initiative, NWPT is intended to serve as a spiritual home for people who are dissatisfied with what it described as lukewarm Christianity and are seeking genuine revival, transformation and the presence of God.
Its vision is to encourage a worldwide awakening of committed believers who can demonstrate what the movement describes as the power, purity and presence of God while helping to advance the Kingdom of Christ.
Explaining why the initiative should not be viewed simply as another church, Tonto said:
“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God. A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.”
The movement is scheduled to hold its weekly fellowship every Friday at 6:00pm.
