In the clip, Speed Darlington claimed to have slept with a 15-year-old girl — a statement he later retracted, admitting it was fabricated to stir controversy and promote his music.
The backlash was swift, with many Nigerians calling for action. Speed Darlington has since apologized, describing his comment as a publicity stunt. Meanwhile, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has launched an investigation into the matter.
