Snoop Dogg demands equal pay for female footballers in US after World Cup win

American rapper Snoop Dogg has called for female footballers to be paid more after their recent World Cup win.

The Young, Wild & Free hit-maker took to Instagram to make an impassioned speech after the US Women’s National Team championed over the Netherlands and took home their fourth World Cup.

Referencing a recent report which exposed the high pay gap between male and female players, the rapper revealed he was less than impressed.

“The sorry-ass f***ing men from the U.S. soccer team, everyone’s s***, ain’t ever gonna win s***, can’t even get out the f***ing first round.

“Man, pay them ladies, man,” he fumed. “Pay them girls what they worth.”

He captioned his video: “Soccer team. Ladies need. They issue. Break bread or fake dead”.

The report, which has amassed much attention since being released, reveals that the US women’s team earned $260,000 per player for bringing home the trophy, while the men would have earned $1.1 million. #Wawu
